From the south From the M20 Junction 7 roundabout take the A249 dual carriageway, north-east, towards Sittingbourne. After approx ¼ mile take the right-hand slip road to turn right across the two lane on-coming carriageway. The narrow road passes the village church on your left, bends left and goes up The Street. After passing the Cock Horse pub on your left, the road immediately turns left into Pilgrims Way and the Village Hall is soon on your left.
From the north From the M2 at Junction 5, take the A249 south-west towards Maidstone. After about 4 miles the road goes down Detling Hill, the central reservation widens into a wooded area and the hill becomes quite steep. Take the left-hand slip lane and as you go under a bridge (Jade’s Crossing – foot and horse bridge) turn sharp left into Detling. The Village Hall is on your right, before the Cock Horse pub.
Although there are speed cameras on Detling Hill it is still a fast road! Be careful.
Returning home Whether you turn right or left when you come away from the hall you will end up joining the A249 going south-west towards the M20 Junction 7 roundabout.
The Village Hall has a small car park, with two parking spaces by the entrance reserved for registered disabled drivers.
